MEDEIA

"If a different birth existed, entirely without women, how happy life would be."

"In a while, when you're suffering until the day you die, think, Jason, that there once was a maiden named Medea, pure and demanding. The small, tender Medea lay with a gag in her mouth on the bottom of the other one. She fought all alone, unknown, without help."

The Medea theatrical project is based on one of the cruelest stories of love, betrayal, and revenge ever written. The script is inspired by, links, and works with texts by Seneca, Anouilha, Christa Wolf, Ingeborg Bachmann, Oscar Wild, Vojtěch Nebeský, and Lucie Trmíková. Medea is a meditation on what, when, and under what circumstances one exceeds the limits of humanity. It is an exploration of a soul that ceases to be human, when man ceases to be man, when he crosses the limits of humanity.
